Do you think I should get that stuff that dyes your teeth to show where you need to brush for my son?

I can't think of what it's called but it stains your teeth like blue or purple and you have to brush it off (to make sure you brush everywhere). Do you think it's a good idea? What's it called? Anyone else use it for their children or have before? Experience/advice/input?
